Our mission at Ross Welding Supplies is to provide expert advice about all things "Welding" along with exceptional Customer Service. We sell high quality brands at very competitive price points. I served a welding apprenticeship in the Lion Foundry Kirkintilloch near Glasgow, home of the iconic red telephone boxes. When I finished my apprenticeship, I decided that my future lay in sales and started the position in Aberdeen supplying welding equipment and consumables. Mostly this was supporting the oil rigs in Invergordon and the Aberdeen area. Building on my knowledge and customer service I found this an excellent experience, giving me the passion to learn more. When the oil industry was slow, I took the opportunity to relocate to West Yorkshire, covering Yorkshire and the Northeast of England for a period of 5 years.

Looking to further my career I joined Wilkinson Star in Manchester in 1992 covering the north of England. Working in wholesale, and networking within the welding industry I established great contacts, finding new businesses selling welding generators and air compressors for 6 years. I advanced to UK sales manager in 1998 covering all of the UK and Ireland.

My knowledge of the welding industry, products, and services has enabled me to set up my own online welding supply business, with my wife Suzanne in 2022.

We have put all our working experience and strengths together to provide a personable but professional approach to online welding sales. Suzanne looks after the website, social media, and accounts, while I am always available for any welding advice and aim to keep adding the best product to our website.
